How it works
Mignar25-MF Tablet SR is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Metformin and miglitol. Metformin restores the body's ability to use insulin, reduces glucose absorption from the intestine as well as glucose production in the liver. Miglitol inhibits the intestinal enzymes that cause breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals.

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Mignar25-MF Tablet SR.
Pregnancy
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Mignar25-MF Tablet SR is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Mignar25-MF Tablet SR is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
CAUTION - Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too low or too high. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION - Mignar25-MF Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mignar25-MF Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Mignar25-MF Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
