Uses

Drotaverine is used for pain relief. It alleviates pain caused by smooth muscle spasms, such as menstrual pain, pain from kidney stones, pain from biliary stones, and gastrointestinal colicky pain.

How it Works

How Drotaverine Works Drotaverine is an anti-spasmodic medication that alleviates contractions (spasms) associated with smooth muscles in the abdomen.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Drotaverine include nausea, vomiting, dryness of the mouth, vertigo, constipation, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), hypotension (low blood pressure), increased heart rate, and sweating.

  • Drotaverine helps relieve pain caused by smooth muscle spasms, including:
    • Menstrual pain
    • Pain due to kidney stones
    • Colicky pain
  • Take it according to the dose and duration recommended by your doctor.
