Common side effects of Amlodipine and Chlorthalidone include glucose intolerance, sleepiness, ankle swelling, headache, flushing (a sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), tiredness, palpitations, nausea, increased blood uric acid levels, decreased potassium levels in the blood, and altered blood lipid levels.

  • Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood pressure, kidney function, and the levels of electrolytes such as potassium in your blood while you are on this medication.
