Chlorpheniramine Maleate works by blocking the action of histamine, thereby alleviating these allergy symptoms. Ephedrine is a sympathomimetic agent that acts as a bronchodilator and decongestant. It compresses blood vessels to keep the airway passages (trachea, bronchus, and bronchioles) clear, facilitating easier breathing. This combination effectively treats cough symptoms.
