Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out. The addition of Ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of Ciprofloxacin.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Ciprofloxacin and Ambroxol include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, and allergic reactions.

  • Take the medication at the same time every day, either with or without food.
  • Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better.
  • Discontinue Ciprofloxacin and inform your doctor immediately if you experience:
    • Rash
    • Itchy skin
    • Swelling of the face and mouth
    • Difficulty in breathing
  • Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should resolve once your course is complete.
