In Acidity Anxipan Capsule relieves excessive acidity in your stomach which prevents heartburn and indigestion. Usually, it is used along with other medicines for management of your condition. Continue taking it for as long as the doctor may advise you to. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it. Take a fiber-rich diet, avoid oily or spicy food and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated. In Heartburn Heartburn is a burning feeling in your chest caused by stomach acids travelling back up towards your throat and mouth (acid reflux). Anxipan Capsule improves the movement of food in the stomach and helps prevent heartburn. You should take it exactly as it is prescribed or as it says on the label for it to be effective. Some simple lifestyle changes can help stop or reduce heartburn. Think about what foods trigger heartburn and try to avoid them; eat smaller, more frequent meals; try to lose weight if you are overweight and try to find ways to relax. Do not eat within 3 to 4 hours of going to bed. In Anxiety Anxipan Capsule reduces the symptoms of excessive anxiety and worry. It can also reduce feelings of restlessness, tiredness, difficulty concentrating and feeling irritable. It will therefore help you go about your daily activities more easily and be more productive. Keep taking this medicine even if you feel well. Stopping it suddenly can cause serious problems. So, do not stop taking it without discussing with your doctor.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Anxipan Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Anxipan Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Amitriptyline and Pantoprazole which treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) associated with anxiety. Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which reduces the amount of acid in the stomach and relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Anxipan Capsule.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Anxipan Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Anxipan Capsule is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Anxipan Capsule may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Anxipan Capsule may impair your alertness which may affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Anxipan Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Anxipan Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Anxipan Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Anxipan Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Anxipan Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
